11th Newsletter of Nutritional & Health-Related Environmental Studies Section

Welcome to the 11th Newsletter of the Nutritional & Health-Related Environmental Studies Section, where you can find information about our activities in the second half of 2019. Read about our meetings in Rwanda, Egypt, Austria and Mauritius, including interesting discussions on the link between previous exposure to either severe or moderate acute malnutrition and child growth and body composition. Also, get inspired by some success stories on IAEA supported projects. A big accomplishment during the last months was the publication of the DBM symposium outputs; check them out. Moreover, don’t miss our news section, where you will find exciting information about the preparation of the new Technical Cooperation (TC) Cycle for 2022-2023 and about a new research project under preparation that will aim to understand the effect of environmental enteric dysfunction on protein metabolism and health outcomes. Finally, don’t miss the contribution made by UNSCN on the UN Climate Change Conference held in Madrid, Spain in December 2019. We hope that you will enjoy this new edition of the NAHRES newsletter.
